Good morning grade9,

Today we will discuss Triangles. 

Please take note of the following. 

This is an extension of your grade 8 work. Thus, be sure to revise this section before you begin.

Important points to remember:

* Triangles have three sides

* Named based on the sides and angles.

* Sum of angles = 180 degrees.

* An exterior angle of a triangle = the sum of its two interior opposite angles.

* In a right angled triangle, with two sides given, the missing side can be found using the Theorem of Pythagoras.

Please refer to the attched document. There is table explaining the types of triangles, and properties of triangles. 

A short exercise follows. Please do all questions in your exercise books. 

Start on a new page, use today's date (08 June 2020), with the heading Classifying triangles.
