Study the artwork and notice all the detail created by using only straight lines.
Look at the detail of her hair – no curved lines, but it gives the illusion of curls.
By lengthening and shortening the lines at the top of her head, fingers and toes, the artist created a curve.
Drawing lines closer together creates shading and depth.
All these techniques complete the illusion of a three-dimensional, shapely model walking the catwalk at a fashion show.
