Fossil Studies (Term 4, Week 2, 18-22 October)

This week, we start our final focus, and that is on fossils. You need to understand how fossils are formed, and the different types of fossils that result from these different processes. There are two main ways of dating fossils, and you must understand these.

To fully understand the basis from which scientists are operating, you need to be aware of the theory of Continental Drift, in which the Tectonic Plates have been undergoing movement on the surface of the earth. The pictures in your Study Guide (as well as those in your slides) help you to understand what their text is describing.
