Organic Compounds - Part 1 (Term 1, Week 3, 1-5 March)
We move on to Organic Compounds that are produced in organs by organisms, all containing Carbon. Learn how to identify them, and get to know the different forms they take. As always, link the notes in your books with those on the slides. For example, the Study Guide summary of the lipids shows its structure in a simple form (with glycerol and amino acids). The slides show how that lipid structure formed, and will be fully explained in class.
We will continue with this section next week. You can start to answer some of the questions that relate to the work we have covered, which you can correct when you receive the Answers.
