Mass Extinctions (Term 4, Week 1, 11-15 October)

Link this section with our Geological Time Scale, which we studied last term. Follow the five times in our history when so many of our different species of plants and animals were wiped out, and have a look at the reasons suggested by scientists for each one of them.

Our sixth extinction is happening right now, and it is humans that are responsible for wiping out Nature. Study the causes for this, and analyse the different ways in which humans are contributing to this. More importantly, try to find suggestions as to how we can stop going in this direction of destruction, or (at least) slow it down.

You have the answers for your Work Books - but you need to answer the questions first, and then correct them.
